Typical Day of Instruction

This is an example of a typical training day and will be updated as the season opens and training begins.

Logistics 2023-2024

We are all required to register our vehicle and will be assigned to park in either Village or Castle Peak. For those of us in Castle Peak, a shuttle will run at 6:45 am from Castle Peak to mid-mountain in the morning and at 5:45 pm from mid-mountain back to Castle Peak. During the week we can park in lot E or higher of the village lot without a reservation.

  • The Big Springs Gondola runs at 7:00am
  • Get dressed and get your equipment from the yurt
  • Attend the patrol meeting at 7:30 am
  • Instructors will advise you of the daily training location after morning stretch exercises.
