Typical Day of Instruction

This is an example of a typical training day and will be updated as the season opens and training begins.

Logistics

  • Park in Lot E
  • The Big Springs Gondola runs at 7:00am
  • Get dressed and get your equipment from the yurt
  • Attend the patrol meeting at 7:30 am
  • Instructors will advise you of the daily training location after morning stretch exercises.

Saturday

  • Zone work
  • Last training review and Shadow feedback
  • What’s left to do?
  • Lower Splinting, Sager and scoop
  • Radio Codes, 1050s, Fire Station 32, The Galaxy, Ski School, Mid-Mountain HQ (MMHQ)
  • Scenarios Zephyr
  • Lunch 12:30-12:50
  • Toboggans 1:00
  • Closing Pluto 3:30
