The National Ski Patrol (NSP) at Northstar-at-Tahoe operates under the direction of an internal Leadership Board and the mountain management of Northstar-at-Tahoe and Booth Creek Ski Holdings. We are a volunteer group who dedicate our time and resources to promote a safe and enjoyable experience on the mountain.
Northstar-at-Tahoe is not the same resort it was five years ago, nor
will it be the same resort a few years from now. The mountain has added
numerous new lifts and opened many acres of new terrain with more of
both planned for the future. The front side of the mountain features
the mile-plus long cruisers that Northstar-at-Tahoe is famous for,
but it also features a Top-10 terrain park with the largest Super Pipe
in the area. The Lookout Mountain complex features the steepest terrain
on the mountain. The gate-accessed Sawtooth Ridge offers advanced skiers
backcountry terrain with minimal hiking. With an ice-skating rink,
tubing, arcade, dining, and shopping, this destination resort promises
to be just that, a destination for everyone.
What sets Northstar-at-Tahoe National Ski Patol apart from all the
other fine patrols in the Tahoe Basin? Our energy and enthusiasm;
our training programs; our passion for our hill, for patrolling,
for our peers. We value the friendships and trust we have built over
the years of working, training, and playing together. We are a group
that knows how to celebrate together. We wear our crosses with pride,
professionalism, a sense of common purpose and shared goals. We promote
the Northstar-at-Tahoe theme “Fun For All™.”
